Cannibal Holocaust — 2/5 Stars.

Cannibal Holocaust is the worst film I've ever seen.

I've seen the movie about 3 times and own the DVD for it, but my distaste for the movie is severe. There's too many cuts between the past and the present in the movie, which makes the plot hard to understand unless you pay close attention to what's happening and what the characters say. Despite the bad editing, some parts of the movie are funny, but not funny enough to make up for how the movie was basically made to be a film to shock and disgust you. There's scenes of real animal murder, some of which didn't even make it into the final cut, i.e., they had to kill two monkey's since they didn't get a good shot on the first one. I heavily feel as if some aspects of the film are just there for heavy filler and or to make you grossed out. Is there really a need for multiple rape scenes within the last 20 minutes of the film? Speaking of the last 20 minutes of the film, the main characters that get killed in the jungle are only shown for the final 40 minutes of the 1h 30m movie. That's about 50 minutes of prologue. Now, I'm all for mondo films & gore (IRL and fictional), but this is fucking shit.
